Meeting june 2011/rencontre de juin

Our meeting was centered around a demo by Ruth and also the preparation of the demo list for next year. Some spaces are still open . Please contact Gaby to offer your demo.

Ruth will be more hands on during the clay day , july 19. It's a Tuesday.

Here are a few photos of what Ruth brought us yesterday. Your special tools on that clay day are seen here .Roller, clay extruder, cutter shapes,cord, skewer,pasta machine and your wonderful hands.

Notre rencontre mardi était centrée sur le cours suivi l'an dernier par Ruth avec Ronna Servas.Ci-haut vous voyez ce qu'elle a montré. Les outils qui seront utilisés pour le clay day seront les emporte pièces, la tige de bambou, la machine et ou le rouleau et la seringue à pâte, des fils et un outil à trouer.

Ce cours sera plus élaboré lors de notre rencontre le mardi  19 juillet dans l'atelier de Nicole pour le clay day.

Nous avons aussi établi en partie le calendrier pour la session 2011-2012 . Il reste encore des places si vous voulez vous placez dans les mois libres. voir ci-bas. Vous êtes bienvenues.

Oui c'est fait avec la translucide.

 

Le collier est fait sur des rondelles de coco et pas en poly mais on peut surement le faire. Les autres rondelles sont faites avec de la pâte trans et de la pâte bake and bend.

This one also could be done in polymer clay. It's in ceramic.

Hi,

I accompany my mom each week to her chemotherapy treatments at the Jewish General Hospital. At the reception I once saw a little basket with all sorts of beautiful little bottles, bottles of hope the sign said, all colorful, unique. The lady told me I could take one - and I did. It since stands on my window still in kitchen, and I have to confess, today I took a second one! My mom also has one at home.

I was really touched by the beauty of your gesture. I was touched by the fact that people I had never met had had a thought for people in situations like ours, the thought of offering a little consolation, a little hope to those in need of it. I felt that despite a sense of loneliness this type of situation sometimes creates, the world is filled with beauty and color by caring people like you.
